"The Art of Movement - A Lesson" - How can it enrich you professionally - especially suited to Pilates and movement instructors, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and others...
The Art of Movement lessons are sets of complex choreographed moves designed to be both physically and cognitively stimulating and challenging. The lesson itself is a "mosaic" of movements that turn into rich patterns of flowing movements.
The movement "mosaic" is achieved slowly through the application of memory (of previous movements) and mastering the next move. This process forms our movement ability – in terms of physical, cognitive and emotional. When a cognitive and physical connection is made from one move to the next, this link facilitates and creates a flow that is expressed physically and that nevertheless also projects on other stratums. One who uses active thought throughout the lesson can adapt to patterns of activity such as concentration and clarity that influence other stratums in their life due to the complexities that are built by the stages forming new neurologic connections in the brain.
The Art of Movement lesson also highlight gentleness, soft circular movements, coordination, and release, as well as strength, a variety of joint rotation and flexibility.
The non repetitive movements challenge both learners and instructors who experience new movement lessons every time due to the sheer processes of movement that redevelop into new directions each time. Professional movement instructors will discover interests in these types of lessons that can enrich them both on professional and personal levels.
